Last week, I went to the Bloggers Ball in London; a networking event hosted by Scarlett London bringing brands and bloggers together. Blogging events can be pretty scary and as soon as I bought the ticket I had a million and one worries running through my head. Will I know anyone, will the other bloggers be friendly, am I going to be stood on my own like a plonker? You know, all the important things. The scariest bit for me comes from that age-old question; what will I wear?! Fashion has never come naturally to me; I feel uncomfortable in most outfits and blogging seems to demand a certain level of style and pazazz that I just don’t have.
This is where accessories changed the game for me and my love for a beautiful handbag saved me. I started picking one key item, one statement piece and building a neutral outfit around it, always making that bag, shoe or piece of jewellery the focal point.
The Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Mini Affair Shoulder Bag is the perfect statement handbag for me. It can be worn in so many ways with any colour or style option - the bag does all the work. I love how I can throw on a casual and comfortable outfit and this classic mini shoulder bag dresses it up and makes me look bang on trend without even trying. A dream bag for the fashion-phobic!
At the weekend, I wore pink culottes, a logo tee, open toe heels and of course, my Rebecca Minkoff. Throughout the day, I switched up whether I wore it cross body, in the crook of my arm, on my shoulder, or hanging low in my hand – it really is so versatile. Its size is pleasantly deceiving; although it’s ‘mini’ you can easily fit your phone, purse, keys and lipstick with room for more.
All in all, my Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Mini Affair Shoulder Bag was the star of the show. I was able to dress comfortably and still look styled, everything I needed for the day fit inside with ease, and so many people commented on it - it was a great talking point when meeting new bloggers.
