Grab an espresso and head for the catwalk: Milan Fashion Week is officially here. Whilst we’re lusting after every spectacular piece being sent down the runway, here are our favourites so far.
Fendi
Always one to stand out from the crowd, Fendi excelled themselves this year with vibrant colours and bold designs. Oversized, blouson sleeves were contrasted with sleek nipped-in waistlines, all in shades of startling crimson; thick braiding, head-to-toe leather and dramatic cut-outs added an edgy military twist.
MaxMara
With patterned knits, embellished jackets and striking column dresses, MaxMara had us truly starry-eyed. Capturing the essence of life at sea, this season it’s all in the details; shining brass buttons, porthole inspired cut-outs and sailor stripes were all heavily featured. We can almost hear the waves crashing against the shore…
Stella Jean
Eclectic, quirky and full of fun, Stella Jean’s SS16 collection brought some Peruvian flair to the Milanese proceedings. Candy coloured fringing, a scattering of pom-poms and a touch of peppermint tartan turned the catwalk into a cacophony of colour.
