This week at MyBag we’ve been taking a ‘style tour of Europe’, looking at the variety of style and take on fashion this continent has. Scandinavia has a style like no other place in the world; simple, minimalist and oh-so-cool. The Scandis seem to have an innate way of looking chic and fashion-forward in just jeans and a t-shirt, and their signature style has become one that is coveted the world over.
Denmark does this style exceptionally well; it’s no coincidence that Copenhagen Fashion Week is the Nordic region’s largest fashion event. Denmark is all about no-frills fashion – simple accessories and well-cut, loose pieces in neutral and classic tones make up Danish style. Sleek but not harsh, it’s timeless, pragmatic and slightly androgynous. It’s also season-less, with Danes preferring to invest in clothing and accessories that will last a lifetime. Look to bloggers Pernille Teisbaek, Anine Bing and Isabella Thordsen who encapsulate Danish style to perfection.
